Instructional Designs

Apply learning theory.

I personally love learning theory. I think it is my most favorite subject to study on when it comes to Instructional Design. Therefore, I chose to discuss a research paper I wrote about cognitive apprenticeship approach. This research paper includes many learning theories through this design model called, “A Cognitive Apprenticeship Approach,” and this design model is all about the mind of the learner and how they can learn. This is why I love this subject because the main goal for instructional design is be creative in how our designs can teach the learners. We help subject matter experts achieve their main goal, to teach their learners, and applying learning theory plays a huge part on how we can do it. Nevertheless, that is the main summary of this research paper down below.

Design a curriculum.

I worked on a final design project when I was taking an instructional design course, and along with my partner, I had to design a curriculum on any selected topics that was approved by our instructor. Together, we conducted a curriculum to train professors on how they can help their students who are struggling with mild cognitive impairment due to stress and burnout. We worked on three design project reports with the first two being revisions before we can reach the final design project as shown below. We designed and created a goal and sub skills analysis along with instructional objectives, sequence, strategies, assessments, materials, and formative evaluations. Along with completing this final design project report, we had to create a handout of our project to present to our colleagues which is the second attachment down below.
